Lynx Men Up Their Record to 6-1 with 79-63 Win over Black Hawk East

Lincoln, IL – In the second game of the Lincoln College Classic, the Lynx played host to Black Hawk East College. The first half was a slow, sluggish battle going back and forth after both teams got into early foul trouble. The Lynx were able to rally before the half and pushed their lead up to 37-29. The second half, the Lynx came out and played great team defense and were able to push their lead up over 20 points and finished with a final score of 79-63. 5’10”sophomore guard Aaron Simpson, from North Chicago, IL, led the Lynx with 28 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while 6’2” sophomore guard Henry Hicks from Sauk Village, IL, was a spark off the bench adding 13 points (3-4 from 3 point range). After Saturday night’s win, the men’s team now carries a record of 6-1 and has won their last 6 games. The Lynx head into a 5 game road swing, starting on Tuesday November 19th when they travel to Moline, IL to take on Black Hawk College.
