The Lincoln College Men’s basketball team hosted the Lincoln Land Community College Loggers for a Mid-West Athletic Conference match-up.  LC was strong from start to finish to claim the victory 80-55 in front of an excited home crowd.  Freshman guard Trayvon Tyler (Rockford) led the Lincoln offensive attack with 19 points, going five of eight from behind the 3 point line. Justin Parker, a 6’6″ forward from Indianapolis, IN,  shot seven of twelve from the field and finished with 16 points on the night.

The Lynx controlled the paint on both ends of the court which led to several second chance opportunities and fast breaks.  Much of the work around the rim was done by Lincoln native Arron Hopp who lead the team with five rebounds.  Hopp was aided by Parker and sophomore guard Ryan Hill (Frankfort) who each grabbed four. Lincoln College’s largest lead of the game was 27 points. Lincoln improves to 14-9 on the season and 2-2 in the MWAC.
