On Saturday, the Lincoln College Men’s Basketball team dropped a road game to MWAC foe John Wood Community College. The first half of the game saw several lead changes as both teams shot well from the field. Lincoln shooters were especially hot from behind the three-point arc going 6-10 from three in the first half. Wood led by only two points (35-33) at halftime.
The second half saw the Lynx cool off considerably hitting on only 9 of 43 attempts from the field. The Blazers remained consistent on offense and were able to step up their defensive pressure to force more turnovers. Wood led throughout the second half on their way to a 80-62 win. Trayvon Tyler (Rockford) led LC with 20 points and 5 steals. Brazil Grady (Jacksonville, FL) grabbed 7 rebounds and Ryan Hill (Frankfort) added 12 points and 5 rebounds. The loss drops Lincoln’s record to 14-10 and 2-3 in MWAC play.
